Applications Process

Elan Vitale Montessori School considers all applicant students who are 2-1/2 to 4 years old. Students who are five years and older (as of September 30) may also apply to be considered for enrollment, provided that the child has had previous Montessori experience.

Our admissions process is fashioned to provide you with sufficient information about Elan Vitale Montessori program and to provide us with sufficient information about your family to ensure that the school’s educational program is the optimal learning environment for your child. Here is the process:

Submit the admissions application and $50 nonrefundable application fee to the Admissions Coordinator. Applications are accepted year round. It is recommended that application be made by February 1 for first consideration. Late applications will be processed as soon as possible. Students may be enrolled mid-year if spaces are available.

In January and February, the Admissions Coordinator will contact applicants to arrange for your family’s visit to the school. This may involve a brief informal visit with members of our faculty and/or your child may spend some time in one of our classrooms. Elementary students are required to submit teacher recommendations and school records from previous schools by February 1.

In March, enrollment contracts are offered to currently enrolled students and their siblings. Remaining spaces will be offered to applicants who have participated in all aspects of the admissions process. You will be notified in writing of our enrollment decision.

Wait list. When all spaces are filled, students will be placed on a wait list for openings. A completed application and application fee must be submitted to secure a place on the wait list.

Campus tours are available by appointment. Please phone the office between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, to schedule your appointment.
